well i have my gps, radar, remote line for amp and extra unused line ran to my armrest. All seemed fine when i ran the gps, radar and fm transmitter.. I was just wondering how many items i can run on 1 add-a-fuse safely on a switched 12v (hardwired)? I beleive its a 5a fuse inside to protect them. I do not plan on running any more to it.

the fuse is 7.5a that the add a fuse is piggybacking (5a). I just did some research and i guess between my gps and radar its only about 2a total. The line ran to the armrest will prob be removed as im going to use a fm mod instead of a fm trans. And i have no idea what the amprage the remote wire would draw.

p.s. The fuse doesnt blow for the items i hooked up. So should i up the factory 7.5a to a 10a even though its fine?

If the 5 Amp fuse isn't blowing with the stuff you're running on it, then leave it alone. There is no need to change the "primary" 7.5A fuse to a 10A.

The 5A fuse will go first anyway.

Now, there is the possibility of having that piggyback fuse powered AFTER the 7.5 "primary" fuse, then the 7.5 amp fuse will go first because of the 5A fuse load and whatever load the 7.5 amp fuse is handling, if the piggyback fuse is installed backwards.

But as long as neither fuse is blowing, you'll be fine.

The remote amp turn-on isn't going to draw enough to even worry about.

Thanks frog..My opinion of you is changing daily...lol..
