Just wondering how many have mark 8's and LS'? I have one of each. I have been wondering this for awhile. I kinda think its funny the hate for mk8's on the LS side. LOL

Been wanting an LS since they came out. Never got around to it though. I do own a Mark VII and VIII though. :)

My buddy had his mark viii then bought a LS after that he sold the LS and kept his VIII
Moral of the story mark VIII is better but the LS is nice too.

Ps this story happened to two of my friends
Both still have there Marks

i drive a mark, and my mom has a 2000 LS. so while i don't own both, i do work on both.

I had a 2002 pearl white LS V8 ...head turner ! She felt maybe just as fast or faster than my mark. But theres just something about the VIII. My mark still gets better mileage !

I've got them both and love both of them. Each time I drive one after driving the other I fall in love with it again

I wouldn't say hate. More like some playfull poking, happens on both sides. :)

Had a Mark VIII at one point, have the LS now. Have also been through several Mark VIIs. Each has its own appeal.

I had an 03 LS. Traded it in on an 06 Mustang GT. Got tired of payments. Sold the GT. Paid some bills and bought a 96 Mustang GT. Got tired of it and just traded it for a Mark VIII. LS was nice but I liked the 06 Mustang better.

I like to work in my shop. The 96 Mustang and Mark VIII are just toys. So far the Mark has made me very happy as there all kinds of things to tinker with. For the Marks sake, I hope I never have a lot of money :D

I've ridden in 2 ls's. Bland imho.

What's your definition of bland?? Maybe a 2000 V6 base is bland but I love mine.

I looked at the thread of what mark owners wish they had in their cars and all those features come on the ls.

And there's more ls bashing over here than mark bashing in the ls side.

There's a guy with a 97 lsc at my apt complex and I caught him staring at my ls. Compliments left and right....I really don't get the bashing at all.

If I get my way, my next car will be an LS. I'm looking for an '00-'02 V-6 with a 5-speed. I'd like to have a V-8, but the stick only came with the six-banger. But that's not a bad thing. I drove a V-6/suto LS a few years ago and it was awesome. It was very comfortable, quiet, fast, and the handling was superb. I'm not a big fan of 4-door cars, but I'd rock the heck outta an LS! I think it's the best looking Lincoln since the Mark VIII.

The LS is just a BMW 3 Series wanna be. Took the looks right from em. Thats why they turn heads, people think is a BMW! :)

My friend had one, but it did not hold up well. Nifty car, but the front cabin is too cramped. And the car is too small. Build quality is on par with the VIII, which is not a compliment. I think if the LS came out in todays market, it would have been a great car now that Ford is making quality job one again.

I have a V6 auto LS ,I heard the V6 5 speed cars are peppy. Only problem is if anything happens to the flywheel your up the creek. There not made anymore by Ford, there are couple Jag ones out there for $700 plus if you can still find one.

Actually it was meant to compete with the BMW 5 series and it beat it on the track in Germany.

Build quality is fine and better than many cars although it could be better for the price range it sold in. And actually most of the styling cues come from the towncar.
