How do you feel about an exhuast on a LS?¿?¿

Okay. Looking at my car it is in my opinion mainly a LuxurySedan but drives like a well put together sports sedan with great handling and a lot of power. Now by throwing on a Magnaflow exhaust system (whenever it comes out for the 03+ models), do you guys feel it may take away from the more luxury feel and somewhat take away from the real feel of the car?

here are a couple of other questions..
a. If anyone with a LS w/ exhaust could you post a video of the exhaust sounds if you have one? Thanks. :)

b. Also, I’ve never upgraded an exhaust system on any of my cars. What benefits will a full Magnaflow exhaust system give my car?

c. **also i wanted to add one more thing. overall, how much money in the end did you spend on the exhaust and the install and are you happy with your investment?**
 
I'm big on keeping this car far from hot rodded, but wanted something that would let me know that the car was running and still keep it somewhat classy, since it's so damn quiet stock. With my set-up it's far from loud, but it's not quiet either.

B - You'll gain a little more HP & TQ, the car will feel more responsive, along with a little sound.

C - $240 for the 3 Magnaflow mufflers, 2 Magnaflow tips, 2 3-bolt flanges plus $100 for the pipe, hangers and lift time. Very happy with it.
 
I just put a Magnaflow Catback on my 2000 LS w/v8. Actually, it worked out great. I have do have the tone one should expect when in the throttle but it quiets down once it reaches overdrive at highway speeds. Best part, is that I got it to my door for $549 from a dealer on Ebay. If you can get it for less than $600, don't hesitate. Oh yeah, the throttle response is much better as well.

I put Borla on mine, bought a kit of ebay for $525 mostly paid for the name Borla, but make sure to get a intake for better airflow and better sound
 
i think im going to wait for the 03'+ magnaflow exhaust. does anyone know when it should be released, anyn ew info.?

b. Besides making it sound better, performance and gas mileage will improve.

c. I spent $650 on the exhaust kit, $40 for install and then $60 more later on when I modified it.

IIRC, its been an on-and-off project for Magnaflow for some time now. I would not hold my breath. Ken Garrison may have more up to date information, but I don't think its going to be available in the foreseeable future.
 
I posted some Jaguar S type exhaust sources in the high performance forum. I got the word a few days ago from a Bassani dealer that a custom system made completely with their components would be at least $2K. So, I'm seriously considering the Mina or the Remus from the S type Jag.

You can get a custom set up from a lot of shops but you 'could' either be dealing with longevity issues/workmanship quality on one hand yet maybe if you pieced together the components yourself on the other, it could turn out great. Just a risk you'd have to take.

P.S. I THINK I remember reading on here that the 03+ Magnaflows didn't produce enough HP gain to justify the cost so they were going to nix production.
