really, where can i get that programmer?...

I'm looking at doing a CAI by KKM and a Programmer. That should get me pretty close if not a "tad" over 300 HP.
You have a totally different configuration on your engine than the OP does. You are starting out with 28 more hp than they are. That will make a difference. He will need more mods than yours to get close to that 300 hp mark.
The SCT Xcal2 or Xcal2 SF will run you anywhere from $300-$395 depending on the dealer. If you have hookups within the SCT community you can get them for much cheaper.
a small shot of n2o (probably a dry kit at least) might give you enough of the boost over the mods already listed...or possibly if you are mechanically inclined they make remote superchargers that would give you 4-6 lbs boost, which i'm not too sure but i assume a stock 3.9 could handle that amount of boost without internal modifications, maybe someone else can confirm that for me.
another thing that might help out to get you over the 300 hp mark would be underdrive pulleys, but i'm not sure of availability for these cars
any of those should help get you to or a little above the 300 hp mark though
A custom underdrive crank pulley is a possibility. I have discussed that in detail with another member on here who is going for the fastest N/A LS goal.
I'd be interested as well since pullies on my 87 gave me some noticeable gains.
It's a sickness, I tell ya.
Is there a difference as far as power goes between an xcal and xcal2?

maybe im just slow but i dont think i get this whole tuner thing. do you buy and download a tune that is pre made or is the SCT simply a gateway so that you can dyno tune the car?
Not 100% sure on this because I have little experience doing actual tuning, but I believe the Xcal2/3 allow you to tune it yourself, but... it is also a gateway. If you order it from a tuner as previously mentioned, they will send it with three tunes already in it that you just download to your car. They can also work with you to tweak the tune. I wouldn't go playing with the parameters on your own unless you have a wideband O2 installed and a dyno to play with; just seems to have the makings of a disaster!
