Funny thing happened tonight. When I was coming home tonight, I fiddled with the cruise buttons. The cruise control has not been working for the past year, but I just thought I would play with em. When I depresed the on button and the cruise button at the same time the horn sounded. I thought what the hell is going on.
Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?

Your contacts are crossed up somewhere. There are three rings for contact of the horn and cruise. There is a cruise line, positive, and ground. For some reason you are getting the contacts for the horn when using those two buttons. Check and see if any other combination of two buttons gets the same results; I would suspect it will. I would start by cleaning the contact, that very well might be the reason your cruise does not work. Also do the cruise control self test.

Could be the "clockspring" under the airbag that needs cleaning or replacement. Lincolnlov
