hood question

im putting together an 04' ls and have hit a snag. i spent like 6hrs on the hood from my 01' donor car only to find that the 04' hood is different than the 02' my question to all of you guys is what exactly is the difference?-thanks in advance

they are very different and i do not think you are going to be able to modify it to fit. i think one person went from gen1 to gen 2 but he replaced more things, i'm just trying to remember off the top of my head tho. hope someone else chimes in that better knows

I didn't realize they were different. I suppose its possible though. They look similar enough between the years but the headlights did change, as well as the header panel, so I don't see why the hood couldn't be slightly different.

I think the only difference is the wiper sprayers are on the hood on 00-02 models.

yeah i think that's what it was. still, it probably would've been better to just go with the 2nd gen hood
