Probably because of the caution at the top of the HP thread area concerning the limit on topics to be posted there, it seems that no one puts any info there for a week or more at a time. I also notice that while there may be as many as fifty or sixty people reading posts here in the regular information/question area, there are rarely more than a couple in the HP area. You all should get over there more often.
Now to the reason for this particular post---There have been a number of comments here regarding porting the heads on the 3.9 engine for deeper breathing. In fact, I seem to remember that one regular poster mentioned that he'd had a set of heads opened up, and the results were very worthwhile.
As many of you know, I have been Land Speed Racing my '02 V-8 and hold two national records. In addition, I am in process of building a four litre AJ 27 Jaguar engine ('big brother' to the LS 3.9) to make it possible to raise the records I now hold and to be able to step up to the blown fuel classes. In furtherance of that intention, I've arranged to have the Extrude Hone Company do a job on my heads and, quite likely, my intake manifold. As part of their work, I'll get a very complete before-and-after flow report.
It should be interesting and I'll put the results in my continuing thread---'Land Speed LS'---in the TA DAAAA---HP LS area.
