LS fans,

I have a 2004 V8 lincoln LS w/ 90,000 miles. I notice Friday when I started the car there was a slight hesitation and shaking to the car. I turned it off and then turned it back on and drove and problem was no longer.

Today, while 50 miles from home, I turned the car on and there was a hesitation and shaking really bad, as if car was about to cut off. I turned the key to off and check engine light was on. I waited a few mniutes and tried again and more hesitation. I waited for about 5 minutes and tried again and hesitation was there slightly but I put car in drive anyways. Hesitation continued for a little while driving but stopped and I was able to make it 50 miles home doing 75 mph with no problem. I tried to turn car on after turn off adn no sputtering and no check engine light. What is going on?

If the CEL came on then it should have a stored code, take to Auto Zone, Pep Brothers or similar auto repair then you will have a better idea of what is wrong instead of guessing.

Get the codes read. The odds are good that you have multiple failing coils.

I'm having this problem as well. Although my car has been sitting for six months because I was deployed. The girl friend took it to auto zone while I was gone and she said they told her that my fuel injectors where clogged. Now that I'm home I am going to look further into it. I also notice that when in park, the car won't rev above 3000 rpm with out shaking and hesitating.

Rev limiter in neutral and park will only let you rev to 3K and is normal.

Okay, LS Ladies and gents. I took my Lincoln LS to the Dealership this morning after problem occurred last night. After six hours of testing and test driving they concluded there is no problem and to wait until it occurs again. Unfortunately, I will be scared to drive long distance with the fear of having to be towed back home.

have you ran all the updates?

Dealers answer to problem!?!

Well LS fans, I went to the Dealership this morning and after 6 hours of waiting, testing codes and test driving the Dealership concluded there was "No" problem found and I need to let them know if it returns. Unfortunately, that means I have to anticipate when I plan to be stranded on I-10 due to known car problems.
