My Mark has about 150 K on it, it seems like it really lags on take off at WOT, i am not sure what it could be, Fuel Pump? Torque Covertor? Clogged Injectors? has anyone had any problems at one point where it would have bad take off that kinda boggs down, then after it gets goin it seems to Clear up and then it takes off.. Any Help would be Great.. thanks

4.10 gears :) I would start with fuel filter, then fuel system cleaner in the tank, BG stuff works pretty well I have been told. If its the original pump it probably needs that replaced but the best way to check is to get a fuel pressure gauge and get some real numbers.

A simple tune up will help

Yours is slow Brandon cause its white... the blk ones are faster ;)

Lol Stack... I'd talk some :q:q:q:q but you have way more money and parts under your bed so I fear your car will be faster for quite some time...

I feel a bit like my car does the same thing, but I just attributed it to lack of low-end in the 32v, though I have a sneaky suspicion I'm still on the original fuel pump. If it needed a new fuel pump though, why would it run fine at WOT?

I tryed it even with the Traction control off and it still does it, i am going to check the Fuel pressure , it could be because i still have the stock 3.08 gears in the rear end, it could be part of it, but as soon as i punch it on take off some times it like sputters like its starving for fuel or something, I dunno maybe its just dying on me.. but I am going to figure out how to check the Fuel pressure today if I can, not really sure how to do that on these cars but hopefully I can figure it out... thanks a lot for the help guys..

theres a valve on the fuel rail, you just need an adapter and fuel gauge get one thats long enough so you can lay it on the outside of the windshield. I am willing to bet autozone or any part store will have it. Theres been enough guys here that have checked so they should be able to help you out with where to buy one.

on my take offs and WOT the car yanks hard and can't keep new tires on the ground...now I just hop the car and work my foot while I listen to the tires to get more Bite on the ground
