Help replacing license plate lights

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the plastic covers off the license plate lights to change them...Does anyone know what I have to do?

You can either loosen the plastic screw that holds the plastic on, or release the wiring connector on the inside of the trunk, turn the socket and take it out. Sometimes, like what happened on my car when changing them to LEDs, the plastic screw doesn't want to come out so you gotta pry on it a little. Oh yeah, the carpeted lining covering the underside of the trunk has to come off.

releasing the connection through the inside is easy. 3 screws under the carpet, turn, juggle, pull.. and wah-lah.

Yea this is the smallest thing to do but its the biggest headache :Bang I attempted to do mines last week I broke one of the taps that keep it in place by accident...but im clumsy so good luck with yours
