im wiring y amp to my factory cd player.... do i run the amp to the blue wire or the blue/white?

# Blue – Power antenna lead (Positive)
# Blue w/white – Amplifier turn on lead (Positive)

the factory radio does not have a turn on wire that will work with aftermarket amps you need to tap into the acc wire at the radio, if you have an aftermarket radio the blue wire is for power antenna(ls's do not have this, the fm ant is in the rear glass)the blue w/ white wite is the amp turn on wire you will need to connect this to the turn on wire at the amp

yeah i did that.... my amp is showing the orange "protection light" instead of the red power light.... . im gonna have to take it in..

everything else should be good to go. my amp may be bad after 3 years of sitting in my room.

the protect light means that there is a (1)short on the speaker side(wires touching or a blown speaker) (2) it could be a thermal protect(usualy the amp has to be running fur a while and it gets too hot. or(3) the amp has an internal problem(usualy a fried transistor)

so you think the amp is blown?? i havent hooked up the sub yet because i need to see power to the amp. everything is hooked up correctly but that damn yellow blinking is making me mad. i havent had this amp hooked up in like 2 years.

if there wasn't any thing hooked up to the speaker side and the protect light is comming on then there is definitly somthing wrong with the amp
what brand and model is it?
what needs to be "spliced"?
