So after replacing the thermostat and cracked degas bottlle....car was running fine for about a week....then it went to $hit. Cars overheating and it has to do with the cooling fan. The fan spins but literally at the speed of a pinwheel in the wind. I mean I can actually sop it with my hand when the cars starting to overheat. Thats how weak its spinning. It stays in low speed and never picks up. My question is would this be the dreaded hydraulic cooling fan issue? What exactly would it be?

14. Fan motor?
11. Hydraulic unit?

I have an aftermarket warranty with www.aulcorp.com
and if you check the "estate coverage" on this link http://aulcorp.com/Forms/COVREVIEW.pdf , check out the "cooling" section and tell me if you think they would cover it.

I am taking it to the dealer where I bought it tommorrow and telling them that my COOLING FAN MOTOR is not working and hoping they will see it fit to cover it.

The Estate coverage says it covers "Engine cooling fan and motor". Since it just says "motor", I would think that would cover the hydraulic motor. The parts you identified can be considered part of the engine cooling fan and motor.

However, you realize there will be some "gotcha" where they won't cover you. You know that, right? :D

Yeah I know about that "gotcha" and thats why i am asking what you guys think. I funkin hate these aftermarket warraty bull$hit. they are such freakin tighasses when it comes to repairing stuff. They pulled that "gotcha" crap on me twice but they better cover this one! I am going to the dealer where i bought the car and they sold me the warranty at to see if i could get treated any diiffrent being that they sold me this crap. wish me luck.

I had mine replaced

cooling fan motor but not pump. $700 at dealership. The fan was $400 by itself. This is a common problem, they should have recalled the car on this one. I understand that the entire production of the Thunderbird was stopped until they could find a replacement for these crap fans.
