Hello everyone,
I need your help.
I ran into some trouble this past weekend while trying to replace the old brake fluid in my 2002 LS 3.9 L with 75K miles. I don't think the fluid was ever changed. I took out the old fluid in the master and put the new fluid in and bled all 4 wheels 3 times. What surprised me (besides the pedal fade) is that the new fluid still looks like apple juice and its not clear like new brake fluid should be. After repeated bleeding, the brake pedal still slowly goes to the floor while holding a firm pressure on it with your foot. Checked under the car and I don't see any leaks anywhere. The brake hoses look fine, so I don't know what else it could be. The booster seems to work because with the car off and pedal pumped, it is as hard as a rock, but when you start the car, the booster eases the pedal effort like it should. Looking at Rock Auto, I see many master cylinders for my car. How do I know which to choose? How do I know if my car has vehicle stability control or interactive dynamic stability control? I do have Advancetrak, and ABS, but that's all I know. Will the owners manual or my VIN number tell me more?
