Hello Everyone!New LS owner!!!!!!!!

just wanted to say hello to my fellow LS owners/enthusiasts.I have not had much time to create an account on LVC,but tonight I finally did it.

I bought my LS brand new back in july.It is a V8 Ultimate fully loaded with the most expensive paint option which is Ceramic White tri--coat.
What are your thoughts and opinions on this car? I love every aspect of this car ranging from styling and performance to features and build quality.

Does anyone know anything about a performance module for this car? I heard somebody mention it here sometime ago;it is pretty much the only thing I would do to my car. Thanks guys.........................................

No luck on the performance module or chip that I know of. The only option is the XCal tuner from what I've seen on here. I don't have any experience with that.

Congratulations on your new LS. I love mine and I'm sure you'll love yours too! I love the way they ride so comfortably and handle so well. Who would think you could have both?

The best performance mod is a big red "R" decal. Really helps the turbo boost.

I installed a K&N filter when we first bought ours. I don't know if it helps the performance any but it's suppose to help some with mileage and it lasts forever. I just installed 2 new rear tires on it last week and I went with a little fatter size (255 45 17) and they look AWESOME!

Hi "mint05ls".......welcome to the board here.

What you'll find is that the LS has no aftermarket support, ZERO, NADA, Nothing!

But, if you read around here a few minutes you'll see just about every mod discussed that is even remotley possible. I would suggest a trip over to LS Koncepts web site (Ken Garrison) and see what he has. I buy from him and he's straight up to deal with.

Here is a list of all the common mods that are possible on an 05 LS, just off the top of my head:

Drilled Rotors
Larger Performance Radials On Stock Wheels (255-45-17 is the largest you can put on the stock LS wheels)
HOEN/PIAA Lamps In The High Beams and Fogs
Back Up Camera On The DVD Screen
XM or Sirrius Radio on The Nav Screen
Lowering Springs
Different RIMS
SCT Flasher For Reprogramming the ECU (worth 20/HP?)
KKM Intake (best mod for the money, worth 10-15/hp?)
Front Air Dam, Ground Effects Kit, Wing on Trunk
Special Front Grill (there are several options available)

I have about everything on this list and of course there is some other stuff but the list is short on what you can do. Under the hood, do the KKM intake and buy an SCT Flasher with a performance "tune".....there is no "chip" available regardless of what you see on ebay...there is no "chip". The KKM intake and SCT and your basically done under the hood! You should them have 300+ HP and thats all you can do.

There is a supercharger kit being developed.

I have a brand new LS as well and I love it. I hope yours has the THX stereo?

You may also want to join the llsoc LS club. (www.llsoc.com) Its been around a while and will cost you $40 for a year. Every issue you see talked about here has been debated and discussed over there in some depth. There is a wealth of knowledge there going back to 2001 or so. Most people here have or are considering used LS's...at the llsoc most people had bought new cars. I think the llsoc site is more mature, this site has much more activity now and a younger crowd. We have Ken Garrison here and Lou "Quick LS" that are here daily and both can answer about any question that may come up on an LS!
