What year? 97/98 could be blend door stuck/broke. Total PITA to replace since the entire dash has to be moved back.

Or could be air in the coolant system. But probably the PITA blend door.

its a 97, i also think is that lil door ur talkin bout, it there a eazy way to get to it?

Frogman why have you been trolling these forums lately... are you just bored or what?

Trolling? I wouldn't call it trolling. I'm just amusing myself at the expense of people who can't read the answers to their questions.

Case and point:

Unity tells the guy It's a PITA to replace the blend door.

So what does the guy ask?

I mean, come on! His question was answered, and he still asks "it there a eazy" way to get to it. HELLOO! McFLY!?!?!?! The guy just told you its a Pain In The Ass to do! Don't you think that if there would have been an easier way, he'd have said "It's not hard to do, simple job, " Whatever.

As I've said before, I don't have a problem helping out fellow Mark VIII owners. Yes, I'll be a smart ass at times, but in the end, I will tell them what I know of a problem, and go from there.

But when they don't even have the common sense to actually READ the answers that people give them, and they don't have the common courtesy of taking their time to type you question correctly, so people don't have to sit there and re-read it four times just to understand it because they put ZERO effort into spelling, typing and structure, then you know what? It shows me they are nothing but tcommon t00ls, and I have better things to do than waste keystrokes on t00ls... like being a smart ass, and helping someone who has a remote grasp of the English Language and its' written structure.

So who's the troll then? Me, for my HELPING with a flair of smartassness, or the guy who wants to waste your time with already covered questions, poor grammar and zero effort in sentence structure?

Yes, this is the Internet. People misspell words all the time. Typos happen. But for Christ's Sake, put some effort into what you're typing, and people will put some effort into answering your question.

Thanks for helping me make my point in my previous thread, Rusty.

I rest my case, everyone.

lol it took u 2 min to reply to that, buahahah how old r u?

i rest my case lol

Rusty, please use words. For example "how old r u?". Not picking on you, just saying... :)

As for Frog - he just says what most of us think :) There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people.

I think its funny that Frogman never told hime to search. That just isn't right, he always starts off with, DID YOU EVEN TRY AND SEARCH????

The door blend issue is a major repair in that the dash has to come backward. Thankfully there is a write-up on it as was posted for you.

However, you can stick your hand up under the glove box and move the lever to the right to get heat and to the left for cool if it is not completely broken. With summer coming, you can set the temp for 68 degrees say and leave it. Use the fan to control actual comfort level.

If you stick your hand under, it is the second small opening under the left side (crack) of the glove box. If you get on your back with a flash light, you might be able to see the lever. Should be grey. It only has to move a 1/2 inch or so to make a difference in temp control.

Remember, to the right, hotter. To the left, cooler.

I hope you are talking about the thread being stupid not LvC...

You'll find a lot more abuse elsewhere....

First off Frogman is Frogman.. if you look past his sharp responses he is full of good advice and knows his Mark VIII's... If you get into a pissing match.. well that's what you get with anyone who love a good pissing match.. deal with it.

Also I hope you are not slamming Unity... he gave you good info first... and is one of our best when it comes to replying fast with great information and help...

As a point of advice... this isn't a kid site with a bunch of kids chatting using Internet short cuts... if you get some hassle for using them deal with it. This is a sight for getting help with your car... there are a lot of great people on this site with very good free money saving infromation... Good Luck...

Got to love those Blend Doors...

i kno im on like 50 forums and this is the 1st anyone has told me how to type no1 else cares, i kno this is a great forum this info is great for fixin my car

Its called etiquette. Some tolerate it, most don't but just don't say anything. I generally do not reply or help people who cant spell complete words or use punctuation because if they can't type, how do I expect them to do the work advised? Like I said, I am not picking on YOU, it would just be nice for you to type properly. It can be difficult and distracting to read. The more work you put into your questions, the more work we will provide helping you out.

Take care!

Rusty, this forum does have very intelligent people on it, and the fact is you have to have something on the ball to keep a car like a Mark VIII running and nice. The 'newest' ones are almost 10 years old now,are complicated and have many subsystems, but they are worth saving.
I have lots of cars and do virtually all of my own work, but you can be sure I look here first when I have a problem with my '96 because there is a wealth of knowledge here, and lots of actual wrench twisters, not people who throw money at problems. Saves you (and me) lots of time and money.
Besides, Frogman didn't call you 'Skippy' yet, you'll know you belong when he does. It's worth it.
