hello all,

As you know I need an air pump and an air pump relay and a clutch

But my Ford POS also has a problem with the drivers heated seat. Switch lights up, No heat on the seat, once in a while I get the feeling it might be working. I know how to use a tester but it would be great if someone much smarter than me could say check this or has lived through this problem.

I would prefer to go through as little hassle as possible as I am already pissed that I need a new air pump and air pump relay and a new clutch

If someone could hook me up with some used parts (that I need) cheap I would be willing to do what ever you like...although I would prefer to just pay for the parts in money...

Got a picture of what your air relay looks like?

I have no clue...dealer said I need it. I haven't really bothered to check where it is or what it looks like.
I know the Air pump is under the driverside fender, there seems to be a module attached to the airpump, not sure if that is the relay or if that is part of the air pump.

I THINK this is what your looking for, but Im only about 50% positive, does anyone else know??

Thanks for looking out

I will get the part numbers from Max and I will let you know

in terms of the heated seat problem, I know its common for a connector to come loose somewhere. I don't remember where though. Try searching.

Actually, Back in the day I had a problem with my air pump, they had to change it twice under warranty. They ended up doing this modification to the PCM and adding a inline fuse just before the Air pump. Several times this fuse has blown for no apparent reason.

At one point I went to a ford dealer who changed the pump for approx 700$ (because it wasn't covered by the PEP extra ford extended warranty) the next day the check engine was on again so i bench tested the old pump and found out it was working. I made them put back in my old pump but they did not refund me for the labour. (First run in with Fords Crappy service) pure thieves. I couldn't make too much of a fuss cause there was still warranty on the car and they are the closest dealer to me. Don't feel like taking a day trip everytime I had a problem with the car.

NEwayz My friend flashed the codes and it was fine for a couple of months then the check engine came on again.

It happened last year before the winter and the car was parked all winter so now I am trying to get all the problems sorted out.

That was sort of my question. I can easily pull everything apart and trace the problem. I just don't want to if somebody has lived through the problem and can give me a heads up.

Thanks, and if you remember let me know

This is a guess at your heated seat issue, but I will try.

Back in November I was having issues with my heated seats, and the dealership replaced the "heating ducts" (fortunately it was under warranty). I know this is a common problem, and fairly expensive to fix.

Anyhow, it is summer time and you don't need heated seats anymore :D

I am fairly sure my heated seats are electric. I could be wrong..... I don't think that the ducting would have any effect on the heated seats.

I would definately change dealerships
It would not be the first time I have heard of straight up lying and overcharging at the Ford/lincoln dealerships.

I am sure there must be an honest one somewhere but I have discovered that in Montreal. There are none

maybe they are refering to the element inside the seat as the heating duct.....

It is my understanding that they use heating ducts now, and no longer use heating elements. I could be wrong, but that is what the dealership told me. I don't see why they would lie to me since everything they fixed was under warranty.

the dealerships are about as honest as drug dealing prostitutes or real estate agents.

I apologize to any of you who's mothers or sisters are prostitutes....
