What about heat build up? Does anyone know if that'll effect the paint? Can't wait to see how it turns out. If they turn out crappy paint them gloss black just for the $hit of it! Good luck though.

I don't think heat build up will be a big problem. Besides the fact that this is rapidly becoming my third car....(and I won't drive her alot at night, or as much at all really)..... I have stuff under the hood painted that gets more direct heat build up than the headlights ever will and it seems fine.

As an update- They are not as bright as the original because the paint doesn't have the same reflective properties. However, they still work. I am still buying new headlights, the clear corner ones, and keeping these as spare's.

Well, you can say that you successfully did it - and it worked pretty good. I agree with you though in getting another set - if only to have more justification for....
