I wanted to clear my headlights and add angel eyes but I have black sealant. So I bought a set off ebay a couple days ago. I got them in today, thankfully they had gray sealant. Anyways, one of the lenses is heavily scratched and I was wondering if there is a good product that will help hide the scratches. If any of you guys have any experience with this let me know. Thanks.

p.s. Clearing the headlights was extremely easy. Ya'll had me stressing a little bit after reading some posts. Both headlights came apart in less than 5 minutes.

If the scratch wasn't mentioned in the item description, I would rail him on this feedback and possibly ask for a refund. If the scratch can be felt with your fingernail........there is no hope. Otherwise, I would try some 800 grit sandpaper with water (wetsanding)........1500 grit sandpapter with water (wetsanding)........rubbing compound........and then a good polish.

For very light scratches, or hazy looking lenses you can use Brasso. It is a very mild abrasive that we used to use for polishing plastic watch crystals when I was a jeweler. I have used it on headlight lenses and motorcycle helmet shields. Works pretty well if they are minor.

Lights

What did you do to get them apart and how did you clean them? I hear you can use finger nail polish but I dont know please hit me back and let me know because I definately need to clean my headlights
