I noticed only the blue hue and no bright light out of my right front headlamp on my 98 Mark Viii. I haved heard and read the horror stories about no replacement and that my Mark will be a "day only" car one day. I noticed autozone lists high beam bulbs but in the last few years how have you guys been getting your low beam lamps??Has anyone come up with a solution?

Help!

thanks, JOHN

You need to get a conversion kit that allows you to put a more common style HID bulb in place fo the irreplaceble factory HID bulb. The other option is to buy a used bulb from ebay.

weird, but upon further review. It's lit up like the other side but just not as bright. It reflects back into the mirrors and then out just not with the same intensity. I don't think it will get me pulled over and I may just ride it out. Tasca wants $525 to convert to halogen(with me doing it).

Has anyone used their(fords) kit?

JOHN

The bulbs usually don't just fail, they grow dmmer first. But your three choices are buying a used bulb which usually go for $125+ an aftermarket kit to use a readily available HID bulb in your housing or Fords halogen housings.
