headlight harness

I bought some 9005/9006's on ebay. now my headlights wont work unless i get under the hood and wiggle the wires coming out of the harness. so i bought new harness's at autozone and same deal. at first it was just my low's so i drove around with my brights on all the time then the other day my brights started doing the same thing. has anybody ever had this problem.

Did you replace them with higher wattage bulbs than stock? If you did then the wires can't handle the extra power.

Probably, i dont even think they are DOT approved. Do i just need to trash them and get a different set?
