Hey guys, been a while.

I'm having my A/C compressor pulley and serpentine belt going on tomorrow to stop that annoying noise lol.

I'm also finally replacing my bad Cat. I just ordered an all new exhaust system and will have that on next week and will post pictures of it also. I believe most users might have the same set up.

Here's what I ordered and pricing.

Magnaflow Direct fit converter kit 23936 - $310 shipped
Magnaflow tip 35121 - 2 @ $45 each shipped
Magnaflow muffler - 2 @ $60 each shipped
Labor will be costing $120 including new piping from 3rd cat to mufflers.

New exhaust total cost $640.

Is that a good deal?

What's the third cat? The resonator? Our cars have 2 that I know of. I don't' think that's a bad price for what you're having done. Kinda don't see how exhaust tips cost nearly as much as the mufflers.

When I was at the muffler shop, they were on the phone with a Ford dealer and also their magnaflow dealer. Both mentioned it was a third cat (where an x-pipe would go). I thought the resonators were the two parts in the back before the mufflers. Which I'm having removed.

See picture below.

For the tips. Everywhere I looked online was $50 plus per tip with $12 shipping. I had one saved in my cart on Amazon for $48 + $12 shipping (4-14 business days). That just dropped to $40 + same shipping. Those mufflers online ranged from $62 and up past $100.

I was told green arrow was third cat and red arrow was the resonators. What's your guys' thoughts and input?

I've never heard of that thing before haha. I must not pay too much attention when I'm under there, when I'm under there, I got it down to not jacking the car up to change the oil so I'm never under there.

The green arrow isn't a cat, it's more of a pseudo X-pipe. The red arrow does indeed point to the resonators.

My muffler guy was uncertain. Would be nice to know though lol. The local dealer here also told him it was a third cat, but half the time they don't know what they're talking about. I'm not 100% certain that they're real certified Ford techs lol.

An old dealer told me the way to get HP numbers was to convert from liters!

There are also no O2 sensors telling the engine how the cat is performing. Also, there is no "H" pipe. This configuration was '03 only. Wonder why.........
