Haunted RaDiO!!!!

Lately, for some reason the volume on my radio has been going up and down on its own. The number of bars stays the same, but somehow the sounds gets higher and lower on its own. I have the stock THX sound system, on my 2003 LS V8 premium sport.

I've already tried the speed compensation setting on and off but its still screwy.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

My guess is the clockspring or the radio volume buttons in the steering wheel.
