Half Heat

So weird deal, I have full air, but only half heat, what causes only half of my heat to work on my car? On a side note I found a bit of coolant leaked down by oil filter, potentially AC deal related. But anywho what is causing the half heat deal

You wouldn't have to read but a few threads on here to know that you have a failing DCCV. One of the two valve is stuck closed. It's possible that the coolant leak is also coming from the DCCV, but more likely that it is coming from some of the plastic cooling system parts at the front of the engine. If you want the climate control to work correctly, you will have to fix both issues.

Okay, I was not for sure if it was the same thing, after the last thing I read about the DCCV. Are repairing both quite expensive or difficult?

That depends on your definitions of "difficult" and "expensive." I would say no to both.

Expensive would be 500 a part, and difficult would be if I had to take a whole bunch of things apart to get to the parts needed replacing. Is this a common problem with the Ls?
