Hello friends... Sadly, My 02 LS8 started to make weird noises from the back end (humming noise), and I knew I was going to have it overhauled, so money wise, it was not worth it. Engine started to knock, more like valves, close to 95K miles and no more power add-ons available, the AC kept blowing warm air after I spent $$$ trying to fix it all up, I decided to walk into a Ford Dealer and after an hour of negotiating the deal, I got 8k for my LS, leaving me with 7K in the hole for negative equity. Yes, I know, we're all in the same boat. "The LS is out of the market with very little support and the greatest depreciation rate amongst American luxury cars, they're up there with dodge". That's what the Lincoln rep told me from a dealer here in Florida. I let him have it before I walked out of there breathing fire from my nose. That's where they told me it would cost me close to 4k to fix my car. Well, stupid enough, I went to an American Car Dealer once again. Got into Ford's showroom, just to be lured into getting another V8, well, I did. Had to put 10 grand out of my pocket but walked out of there with a 2007 Sport Trac V8 for the wife, which shares the engine with the new Mustang GT and I've already done the basic bolt-on like CAI, Borla exhaust, UD Pulleys and intake plenum + 70mm Throttle body, well over 315 HP. For me, I got me an 2004 Screaming Yellow GT with 19,000 miles, 5 speed and I've already done: BBK CAI, Long tube Headers BBK with full exhaust (3") and H-Pipe, plenum and 75mm T-body, went to 3.73 gears and UD-Pulleys, DYNO came at 303 RWHP. I'm undecided on whether to go with Diablo or SCT Xcal2 for the tune. I've ordered a Pro Charger that will be here in two weeks and then I'll be up with the big boys. What do you guys think? Diablo Predator or Xcal2? I will need to lower it by 1", I miss the weight distribution of the LS, but now I'm in a different category of power, and TAMPA GUYS, you'll see me soon around the Gandy whippin' but! Take care guys, good luck with your rides and keep them clean! The LS is, and always be an affair to remember.
