H.I.Ds for fog lamps

I bought a kit for the brights, then changed my mind, and used that kit in the fogs:

I had the same. I put 9005 in the fogs. A ton of glare but they lit up the road a ton.

I had them...they pop too frequently for some reason. I had Sylvania replace my SilverStars at least 5 times for free and then I gave up.

Look on ebay. Many manufacturers of that cheapo hid system make them in almost any size bulb. Just find ones for that size fog bulb. 9005 which are high beams also fit which is what i did, 9005 hids in my fogs, i have some pics somewhere ill look, but just go on ebay and get them

Needless to say it pissed a lot of people off so I turned them off for oncoming drivers. If you can find the relay that forces the fogs to shut off when you put the highs on and take it out, bend it, break it whatever...having HID fogs and high beams is one mean combo at night

But not in fog, that setup will defeat the whole purpose of fog lights; it will shine back instead of under, and reduce visibility.

Not really. I did that relay mod on my Jeep so I can run fogs and high beams (out of E-Code housings) at the same time, as well as windshield mounted driving lights. My visibility couldn't be better.

They were no longer considered fog lights I guess but my visibility with them was incredible since they were down low, and since the high beams point up high I can't imagine any reversed glare happening unless its bad weather out
