Grinding

I'm getting a grinding sound coming from the front of the engine, as soon as a touch the throttle it goes away... any ideas.. I only hear it at idle in park or d at a stop light????

Have you checked your torque converter?

no but i was going to have the trans serviced ASAP

Its the converter... you guys think its to late to save by doing a flush and fill?? or should i just start on a new torque converter? or new trans.

I checked it out on the lift this morning... I removed the little rubber plug from the bottom of the bell housing and the noise got a lot louder...

but its only at idle in park or drive... not at all when i'm driving...
