i got my new 20s on and now when i go over a big bump or a dip i get this weird kinda grinding noise, seems like shocks or something. do they have to get used to the new weight of the rims or what? please any insight is great.

you are pry tearing the :q:q:q:q out of your fender... look at your fenders above your wheels and see if any of them are hanging down... cause i hit a bump one time going pretty fast, heard the noise, got out of my car and saw my fender bent down... had to get like a bat to roll it back into place

I agree. Sounds like you are hitting the inner fender. There should be rub marks on the inner fender and/or tire. Should be easy to find. Fixing it however, may not be so easy.

Yeah fat tires that are somewhat larger diameter will do that. Usually inner fender or worse the outer fender and or trim is rubbing.

Get 5 passengers and see if the noise is constant or more frequent. If it is then your tires are definitely too big for normal driving and will require the "Lowrider" approach to driving, ie sloooow over bumps and dips, but for a different reason.

Good Luck,

Jim Henderson
