Greatest Commercial Ever

that is pretty cool, probably a new top car commercial for me, i really want to go put some shell in my car now, will it make my ls sound like that??

Not around here you wont.. It allways made me knock and I allways loved Sunoco.

Great commercial, love the sounds. Love the gas too, when I had the LS it only ran great on Shell, same w/ the the rest of the fleet I have now

See i dont know about shell gas. When i had my mustang the local engine shop said they new a guy who did the gas testing for petrocanada, and that he said Esso (imperial oil) was the best, petro canada was second, and shell was in the back of the pack. Ive heard alot of bad things over the years about additives in shell gas that would screw up fuel pumps and stuff like that. But then on here i saw a thing about top tier gas and shell was on the list. Are things different up here in canada?

car sounds great. i've also heard that shell is not all that good but hey if it works for that individual then it's all good :). with today's gas price i'm sure people are looking more for lower price than quality. i paid 3.39 a gallon here in los angeles. is everyone else paying super high prices? i'm sure most use premium right? later

Premium is running around 2.60-90 depending on the station.

Sunoco 93 in my area of PA is around $2.89., thats what I use to me its the best never had any problems with it but as soon as I use something else even if its 93 it just sucks, especialy that Shell V stuff.

I've had good luck with Shell ever since I left PA anyway. Seems a guy in the Wilkes Barre area had leaky tanks and had been busted a couple of times for transfering low test into his high test tanks....
I knew a guy that built gas station/convieniance stores and he said the only difference was the label on the tanks. Seems it is more of a sponsorship then the actual fuel. The Amaco station gets his tanks filled from the same distributer as the Exxon guy as the Shell guy etc. Maybe they dump different additives in each truck or something but once he told me that I started paying attention and sure enough the labels on the pumps would all reference the same fuel distribution company.

Some are the same ( I think ) but then you have others that are different. Like as an example Shell, Mobile and Exxon get one gas and Texaco, Sunoco, Hess may get another, ETC. ETC. ETC. but I know Sunoco and one particular Hess station give me good stuff. Sometimes its the fact that gas is to high to loose out and some stations let the big tanks run almost dry sucking up all the crap at the bottom and into your car.

But Shell around here sucks..I also heard about alot of stations nation wide last year getting into trouble, I heard about one guy who had to replace customers loss.
