And what a thrill it was. I didn't get the handshake and picture I was hoping to get, but seeing the most powerful person in the world up close and personal is a very moving thing. He has such energy and confidence. Nothing like you see on TV. He is even more likeable in person. Man, when he got off the bus, the crowd went wild. About 15,000 to 20,000 people in Wisconsin were rockin and rollin.

He has been modifying his speech, updating it. I've heard it a dozen times, but he was really on top of his game today. The whole Kerry debacle with his criticism of the Iraqi Prime Minister plays well into Bush's hand. I really think Kerry has his hands full with the upcoming debates. I look at how tired Kerry has been looking lately and then compare that with the energy of Bush. You can see that Kerry is struggling and Bush is riding high.

Just imagine the head trip. Your the most powerful guy in the world. What do you say to yourself when you look in the mirror? The responsibility is enormous, but the ride must be wild.

Snipers, Helicopters, Coast Guard, Secret Service, Jets, all looking out for your safety. And yet, you can see Bush is totally focused on the electorate. He speaks from the heart and you know he really cares. It palpable. You can feel it.

Next goal, a trip back to Washington in the next couple of weeks and a visit to the White House. God bless President Bush. May he continue in his quest to keep us safe from those looking to harm us.

I wish we were there. My wife and I missed the chance to see him. We were going to go to Janesville, but my wife got a call to substitue teach early friday morning. So she had to pick up the sub job. Maybe next time, if there is one....

I will give you that. Bush has an energy you can tell he radiates it to the people around him. I personally think that energy helps him a lot. Im going to keep the politics out of this thread, so i mean no rebutall when i say this. His energy makes his arguments seem genuine and sincere. Even on TV. (Whether or not they are sincere is not important for the purposes of this thread) Even though i personally dont agree with Bush I still find myself listening to him, from the way he speaks and appears in front of a crowd.

Thanks Pepsi, I appreciate you not raining on my parade and ruining my buzz.

Eleanor, it was quite a sight, even better than Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to go to both Janesville and Racine but there was no way to get into Racine on time before the doors closed. But the setting on the lake, 75 degrees and sunny, was a perfect setting.

Joey, the power was coursing thru my veins. Goose bumps and all. Great music to jazz up the crowd. The GOP really knows how to put these parties on. As you remember, I went to the Kerry event in Milwaukee also, and there wasn't the same kind of excitement. You can certainly feel the difference between the two. I'll leave it at that.

Rich, no Cheney. Like I said, this was high energy...

, but I would have liked to have seen Laura Bush again. What a nice lady. Anybody that criticizes her, I just don't understand. She seems like she would be an awesome mom to have. Strict, but fair.
