I used to see some old Beetles at the drag strip. They would use Porche parts and engines and stuff. They were amazing! NHRA basically banned them because it was difficult if not impossible to make them meet their safety requirements.
I keep telling you guys...the SRT4 in nothing to sneeze at. They can be made extremely fast!! I mean low 11's fast!! I have them pick on me all the time when I'm in my Cobra. I just ignore them...but only because I don't want to be embarrassed by a good one!! Stage 3 can be a heads up race with a stock Cobra...and there are a LOT of them better than that.
