just installed glasspacks in place of the factory mufflers....

its surprisingly quite at wot and ahs a nice rumble at cruise.

will have sound clip up soon!

Did you have the factory exhausts tail pipe welded back on and the tip slipped over it?
 
no that is just the stock tip... if your talking about the pipe inside the tip... that's stock....

was waiting on a N1 comment... figured you would hit me first! lol

Is the stock tip welded to the factory pipe or is it a bolt on tip?

If not I would have just had the extra pipe cut off and the tip welded on but what ever works for you man.
 
the tip with the pipe in it is the stock tip.. there is no way to take ou that pipe, its not attached to the muffler its attached to the stock chrome tip... I know what your saying... this was just easier and cheaper then buying two new chrome tips

LOL the last one i just through in for the hell of it... that was still with stock exhaust
 
I heard more road noise than exhaust.


IMO surprisingly quiet. Probably sounds different in person but at least it can be guaranteed its not obnoxious.


EDIT: Actually, did you get off the accelerator as you went by? I kind of heard it as you got closer but all I honestly could hear as you passed was the tires on the pavement.
 
yea it really is quite.. i think it is do to the 3rd cat on the gen 2... at a cruising speed say 55 60... it sounds really good.. but if i push the car to WOT the exhaust note almost goes a way completely and all you hear is Intake and engine... its actually really cool that way

the best part of that clip is the drive away part
 
I was thinking that as you got closer it did sound more like the intake than anything.


Im kind of thinking about selling my kit this winter and finding a sleeper type exhaust with more better flow than stock. But I'll have to find a good quiet exhaust setup first since I bought my car with this kit.
