Getting A Town Car As A Parts Car...

Just wounderin.. I'm getting a.. I belive 93-94ish lincoln town car for a parts car... I was looking at the motor and something struck me odd.. it said Dual Cam on the motor cover... its a 4.6 rite... its just not the same dohc motor as ours? the thing of it.. I can use the tranny.. and air suspension... and smaller stuff.. like alt, coil-ish things, radiator, fan... all that stuff? I mean.. for free... a man can't turn something like that down... Plus its cleaning my grandma's yard up! So will these parts.. and possibly others work in my car.. main thing i'm worried about it is motor and tranny parts.

never mind.. it says overhead cam.. and i went dumb.. anyways... will some motor parts work? will the air suspension work on my car? lastly.. will the tranny work on my car? anything else i can use from it..? driveshafts, lower upper control arms... things like that?

The town car and Mark VIII are completly different cars, and very few parts will interchange. The tranny would work, but before 98 the trannies aren't that great.

Oh okay.. well that rules that out.. I guess all i'll be using is the tranny... burning the old tires off... and then scraping it out.. i should get 200 bucks easily at the junk yard.. keep the seats... they might come in handy... so even the air suspension won't work huh? atleast the spark plus wires and coils will.. that will save me some money.

dang it.. stupid car.. I think i'm getting something worth getting.. then its pooh.... :shifty: ... lol.. well atleast it will be 200 bucks in my pocket.. and a good lunch for grandma from the money I get... maybe a nice dual exhaust.. or maybe.. new hid housings... it'll be okay.. maybe i can sell it on here for a town car parts car.... ... either way.. I sure do appreciate yer time sir!!

Sell the parts individually if you have the time. You can easily get more than 200 that way, I remember a forum where someone ended up making a few thousand on a car he was going to scrap
