Getting 4.10 gears

Ok guys i need some help. Im getting 4.10 gears with trac-loc but where do i get them for a good price. I will not be doing this by myself so can anyone give me a good price at how much the labor would be and where i can get them done(im in north fl). Here is the best i could find....

Is the 31 spline worth the money? Are these good parts that i can trust. Some trac-loc's say open diff. i should be looking for the limited diff right?

I bought all my parts for my 4.30 gear swap from Max at 5 star Ford. I was able to get the gears, the Tlock, and all the rebuild/install parts for $415... I then had them installed by a local shop for $180.

I don't think that the 31 splines are worth it...

I would just look around at different drive line and hi po shops and see what kind of price quotes you get.

BTW... I would only get genuine Ford Racing or Motive Gears...

would i need to get the rebuilt kit/ install for them or should i let them handle that

I supplied my own parts because I wanted to make sure they used OEM Ford parts, and I got a better deal on them then they could.

Like I said, I would go with Max for everything... also being that it is IRS you need the extra side bearings.

ok well i have called alot of trans shops and all have been quoting me 375-450(isn't this high) for just labor. Some said it is a 1500 job in this case i just hanged up didn't even bother asking for just labor. Anyone know any well known shops or anyone in the florida area who knows how to do this?

I got all the parts from Max. $300 or so is about the norm around here. No performance shops in your area you could talk to?

umm dennis which gave me a nice price of 400 for just labor. man i would think the economys condition would lower prices lol

The $180 I paid for labor was me bringing a shop just the carrier out of the car... most of those quotes are probably for you bringing the car, them removing the carrier, installing the gears, and then reinstalling the carrier.
