A lowered Gen II is a lowered Gen II. V6 or V8 doesn't make a difference. Many of us have lowered Gen IIs.

Hey Lito, go to my photo gallery and you can see my LS lowered. At the time of the photos, I had 225/45/18 in the front, I now have 235/45/18 (have 245/45/18 rear). It fills in the wheel well better and also a little more gronf clearence.

The V6 and V8 LS use the same struts on the rear, the fronts are based on if you have a V6 or the V8. LS4ME has measured my car and others with the Eibachs and has come up that my car is a little lower the V8 ones. I don't know what it is but I would like to have another Gen2 V6 lower to compare with, but no one around here has one.

the same spring is sold for the v6 and v8 which means the front will not lower as much as it would on the v8 due to the difference in weight. thats why i trimmed my front springs to begin with. the v6 doesnt weigh as much and will not drop as much

The front struts on the V6 are different than the V8. So I think that might be why my LS sits lower than the V8's.

Mines lowered, but its a v8.

Also, I don't think the struts will affect the ride height, its all on the springs.

Yes those are 18's.

And for the next ?, yes there is a different V8 strut for the fronts between Gen1 and 2.

I want to lower my LS so bad but fear that I will become a snow plow come winter, prob going to do it anyways lol .. How much drop did it give you and how far are you off the ground ?

It dropped about 1.5 inches, both front and back. I will try and measure the clearance and post it here.

Sorry for the delay. I measured and it is 5 3/4" to screw on the bottom of the front apron. If you look under the front of the car you will about 4 screws that hold the two parts together under the bumper. I also took a good look under the car looking back from the front and noticed that the suspension crossmember is lower than the measurement that I am giving you. Hope this helps.

The manufacturer calls them struts, but technically you are right. They work more like a non-adjustable coil-over. It is a coil on shock configuration.
