I was reading through the Tech Article "Valve Cover Seal Inspection and Replacement" and it says "Do not make the same mistake that I made here. I went to FordPartsOnline and purchased a valve cover gasket for the right and left side. This did NOT include all of the seals necessary to do the job. You will need 4 seals for the plug wells and 2 more seals for the valve cover bolts that are in the center of the cover."

I've had oil in my spark plug holes for a while now and I'm needing to replace another coil (that was the issue in an earlier post). This will be my 3rd coil since buying the car in 09.

My question is. In that article he says you need to buy two sets and another of something else. Does this one in the picture include all the gaskets needed for this project?

If so I will be getting tomorrow and ordering all 8 new coil covers and plugs. I'm not sure if I have to get all 8 coils since I've replaced 3 already but I'm going to be putting the same brand in, so I don't have mixed brands.

Any other suggestions on gaskets or anything else in the topic?

It "appears" correct to me but I would call to ensure that what you are ordering is accurate and what it includes. I understand your hesitance toward trusting just the picture.

Those are for a 4.6,

Just go t your local ford dealer and buy them, they are the same exact price or maybe even a bit lower if I remember correctly. Then you know they are correct and they will be exactly the size they should be.

By the way I got mine from the dealership I worked at and all the necessary pieces where there.

Hey Linc....Now you are making me go back and look at the image of the ones I purchased via another seller. I could have sworn at a glance that they looked the same. LOL. I may have to stand corrected. :)

Or just call Maxx at Chapman Ford (ad to the right). He has the kits in stock ready to roll.

Even at the dealer they have different part numbers. One is just the primary gasket, the other is the gasket with all the additional seals.

+1 on maxx... guarantee the right (correct) gaskets at better prices than your dealership most likely

I called a local dealer and they have 3 separate part numbers that need to be ordered for the whole set. I asked him about the ones pictured above and matched it with the ones they have. He said that is a complete set and should work.

If it is for a 4.6 I'll take them back if not I'll let you guys know. I won't be installing for about a week until I receive all 8 coils I've ordered.

Thanks for all the info guys.
