Gas Treatment...

I know it doesn't always work but I have a really loud injector tick... someone stated it might be a lash adjuster?... it sounds like it's comming from the driver's side front... and it's pretty loud along the fuel rail... I was just curious... what kind of injector cleaners have you guys tried?... do any of them work?... I know it might not get rid of the tick but maybe it could use it anyways... figured it's worth a try... thanks a lot!!

I doubt the tick you are hearing is from the fuel injector. There are vids on here with sound clips of engines see if the tick sounds like yours. If your using a good gas and 93 Octane I do not see the need for any fuel additive.

what kind of a noise is it? could be drivetrain noise like valve lash.. Can you even adjust the valve clearance on our cars? i used to on my Integra...

I don't think you can adjust them only replace them. From all my searching I found the only real fix is a new egine, I have been living with my noise for 7 months.

hate to say it but why dont you try seafoam in the booster vacuum line?

I dont think it is FI tick cause FI ticking noise is very low. only time I heard the FI tick(opening and closing) was with a steoscope

It's kinda a clack... and I can tell exactly where it's comming from... it's gotta be cylinder 5 or 6 right at the injector or rail... yeah I use good gas... usually shell... I think they have pretty good gas... I can live with it and it hasn't made the car drive different from what I can tell... but it's just annoying... everytime I accelerate hearing a clicking... it's pretty loud... loud enough I can hear it in the car... with the windows down and the stereo up... it echoes off buildings too... if it's not a big deal I guess I"ll just get used to and sooner or later probably won't even notice it anymore... but you think seafoam might help?... I was kinda thinkin it could help anyways to run some cleaner through... any other brands?... I heard that STP stuff isn't that bad... or Bars do they make an injector cleaner?

you could have spun a berring. If that is so drive it nice to by you time to get a new motor

If you want to try cleaners that work:

Redline SI-1 (kragen, checkers usually)

Gumout Regane

Amsoil PI

Techron Concentrate

My personal preference is the redline, but it's not easy to find.
