fuel sender

I get a message that fuel sender open any idea's

Check fuel cap, if OK.. fuel pump

i was getting the same messege on mines and it was the floater arm that got stuck inside the tank on one of the plastic tabs that holds the sender unit in place.....tray taking out the sender unit and inspect it.

Thanks for the answers . It's probably the arm I have been having alot of trouble losing power on left hand turns so we put a baffle in the tank and thats probably where my hang up is. Next week we are going to put a sump in the bottom of the tank so we won't loose power
