I need to replace the fuel pump on my 2001 Lincoln LS v-8. Is an Airtex E2314 ($70) a decent replacement for my daily driver.

Please, someone let me know if the Motorcraft fuel pump is the only to use or will Airtex be ok for a daily driver.

Considering what the part is and does, I would be inclined to spend the money for oem.

Airtex has something of a bad rep going. That said, I'd probably get one. :)
Folks have also swapped in the standard Walbro 255lph pump, but the casing requires a bit of modification to fit. There's some writeups and pictures around here somewhere...

Yeah I agree OEM. My luck has been getting worse and worse with aftermarket parts. I went through 2 MLPS sensors from advance auto parts in a month. I buy those cheap parts for my truck because it is just a spare vehicle and land engine for my boat. I put very few miles on it (11MPG) and yet I still have some repeat failures.
