Fuel filler door - won't close

As opposed to all the threads where it won't pop open...

What's the fix for this problem? I'm assuming a spring somewhere has lost tension to latch it shut?

Looks stupid driving down the road with the door popped.

on mine the little clip that holds it shut actually broke off....is yours still there?
