Hey guys. So a few hours ago, I pull up to the pump, hit the button on the door, hear the actuator, get out, and the door isn't open. Go back to the door, hit the button, hear it again, and this time its open. What ever. Put $65 worth of gas in, close the door, it won't latch shut. I messed with it a little bit, wouldn't latch, so I just got in and drove about 15 miles home on the highway. Get home, mess around with the latch inside the fuel door, and I noticed the center finger of the 3 fingers on the latch assembly now has some spring tension behind it, that it didn't before, so I close the door, and now its fine. Any idea what the issue could be here?

Also, I need to adjust the door inward to the body a little bit. Whats involved in that? Just bending the hinge a little more?

It's prob just sticky and old. Spray some wd-40 or liquid wrench on the latch the door closes on. Repeat as needed.

Worked for mine.

No problem. Mine was way worse then your's and it did the trick. Don't be afraid to give it a soaking.

That was the first time it's happened since I've had the car. It took me like 3 times closing it before I realized it wasn't latching shut....
