I've got an annoying squeak coming from the drivers side front wheel. The squeak stops when I apply the brakes. Does this sound like a bad wheel bearing?

other things to check:
stuck/dragging brake caliper.
dragging dust shield.
lower ball joints will squeak when worn.
what kind of squeak? over bumps? when rolling? when turning the wheel?
