Has anyone ever thought about making a replacement for these?

I bought replacement control arms but I'd rather replace just the bushings since the rest of the arm is in good shape.

Something made out of delrin, poly, or even solid mounted would be perfect for a "performance" ride.

Just wondered! Thanks!

all the bushings were shot in both driver side control arms last week.so sat i went and got upper and lower from a t-bird at pull a part w/ good bushings as a temp fix till i can afford all new.after internet searching for hours and seeing noone makes them anymore it got me wanting to do it. i work in a machine shop w/ full access after hours. from looking into delrin that wouldnt be good for daily driving but if someone whats them ill look into material. im definately gonna do poly bushings i just have to fiqure out the durometer and have my boss source some material.ill do single or a full kit and i wont charge a ridiculous amount of money. and im gonna try and make all bushing that can be done on a lathe. if alot of people are interested i might jump on this so everyone give your thoughts

How about UHMW? Also, isn't the ball joint going to be shot? By the time you press out the old ball joint and press in the new one and press out and in the bushings and fabricate the bushings, wouldn't it just be easier to buy a good quality new control arm? Time is money right?

I suppose if you also included the SRBs it could make sense.

I actually plan to use the car for Autocross (SCCA Solo). I don't drive the Mark daily, so I'd be fine with delrin. I've replaced everything I can with poly up front, so it's already stiff.

That's true, but I already replaced the ball joints and the inner bushings are fine. I just wondered if it was a viable option.

No one makes them because the arms are so cheap and easy to replace whole that there's no market.

What about a performance version? The mounts in the refurbished arms are rubber and not ideal for performance driving (track days, autocross, etc).
