I am told that my front lower control arm bushing is shot, its making terrific creaking noises and clunks over bumps, has anyone had to do this job. I have seen many posts about sway bar bushings. Is there a step by step for this job somewhere?
More common is the swaybar bushings that cause those symptoms. At least the creaking. Cant say I had the clunking. So..now that I think about it, the clunking might actually be the control arm bushings.
I have 110k on my 2002 LSE..and the control arm bushings are original. In fact, with the exception of my sway bar bushings, shocks and Eibach springs all of my suspension is original and holding up great.
I am going to be ordering some sway bar bushings from energy. Maybe it will do the trick. I can't for the life of me find just the bushings for the control arm, does anyone know if you buy just the bushings or do I need the whole control arm?
