Hey guys guess what?! My wife took my baby into the Ford dealership for them to check out that sound I posted the video about (Since im in Afghanistan). The check engine light came on as soon as the mechanic stepped in with her lol...the cars also been vibrating/shaking a little at idle. They said it's either an injector or a coil, and that they ordered the part, and it will be replaced free of charge. Everything.

Someone mentioned that the noise could be a dirty injector? Also, the coil could be what's causing the vibrating/shaking or rough idle.

But what I didn't know is, that Ford replaces these parts for free now? My warranty has been expired since...forever? Lol...wierd eh?

There is an extended warranty on the coils and some related parts covering 2003 - 2005 Lincoln LS for 10 years/100K. Sounds like your LS falls under this warranty.

Sad that it doesn't have the standard nationwide. Since it was a Factory Dealer. =\. So no one else has heard of this happening to them? Getting free coils or injectors?

Joe, weren't you the one that said the sound I was hearing, was probably dirty injectors?

You expect me to remember what I have read and posted before?

On a side note, the dealership I use was nice enough to replace the DCCV on my 04 at no charge, even though the warranty was over 10K miles ago.

no we all have gotten free coils and plugs from the extended warranty(and most of us has had to pay for at least one coil or two), just not any injectors

I had to pay for the first one (or two, I forget) before the extended warranty program came out. After it came out, I took my receipt and a copy of the letter to the dealer and they refunded the money to me.

What letter might that be? I've felt the vibration one time I think. I have an 03 v6 so would I be able to get this service?

V8 only, sorry. It's called a Customer Satisfaction Program, 07M07.
