I noticed a slow oil leak under my car today and its in the area of the oil pressure sending unit. It seems to be accumulating on the oil pressure sensor. Is it possible for this sensor to leak? I did replace the oil filter adapter gasket about a year ago so I dont think its that. Any help would be appreciated :)

I've always put in cheep ones and had no problem. The one in my town car has been going strong for 3 years but all the other one's I did I sold the cars within 6 months.

Replace it with any oem or better brand, and you should get another 100k miles out of it.

micah, I remember reading that thread. You got lucky! I'm glad the life of your car didn't end there and made it to the calendar over on LOD. ;)

Just to beat up the thread name....

If you have an oil leak, and you don't know where it's coming from....

Then You Haven't Found It!

And wrap the threads with Teflon tape or the sensor will leak again! :)

Check out the oil adapter gasket...

He said he changed that a year ago...I suspect the OPSU, those things leak like crazy when they go bad

Either that or the oil filter could be loose
