FordParts.com really pi**es me off!!!

So I had to replace one of the rear door ashtrays and the two pins that hold the engine shroud in place. I decided to order them directly from Ford using the fordparts.com website. Went that way so I didn't have to pay for shipping.

They said that they would be available the next business day at my local Ford dealership. A WEEK LATER, they finally arrived. I received emails from fordparts.com saying that they were at the dealership, which apparently are false. Then the dealership kept telling me that they would arrive "tomorrow".

Very frustrating. My advice, unless you can't absolutely find them anywhere else, NEVER order parts using Ford's part website.
 
Ok I get your frustration but um... you do realize that this time of the year is the biggest shipping bogdown there is on the calendar and usually doesn't clear up to normal until after the second week of January when all the christmas returns have been taken care of. Can't speak for the dealerships actions but usually its best to ship home because you have a more detailed shipping system to follow through to know when something really is coming.

Welllll...... The website had to find the part, then ship it to the warehouse, then to the dealer. Did you get tracking info? I've found that even with that the delivery time can be off by a few days.
