For Those of You That Have Replaced The Solenoid

I'm not exactly sure of the price since it was under warranty but the valve body usually comes along with the repair, as in it should be replaced as well.

call dealer and get part number or call the transmission center.... (the link you posted at the top)
 
Trans Test, flush, Solenoid Body Replacement, Filter, and new fluid, Check bands and Flush converter all came up to a total of $923.20.

Solenoid body = $481.07
Filter Asy= $28.60
10 qts. of Merc. 5 Trans Fluid = $55.20
Labor = $299.60
Misc Shop Screw Charges = $17.93

I did it myself as I had access to a lift. I wouldn't do it otherwise. The part cost ~$200 from Bill Jenkins at Team Ford. Then there is a flush and fill when you're done.

That is the solenoid pack. The 00-02 is the 5R55N and the 03-06 is the 5R55S
