folding mirrors

Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone knows if folding mirrors from another car would fit on the LS. I know there is no option for any generation of LS. Reason I ask is, I've been going through the car wash alot recently. The brushes are making my driver side pretty loose. Just wondering if there are any alternatives?

Gen 2 LSes have a folding mirror option. Both my '06's have them.
 
I also have folding gen2 mirrors on my gen1. They are not power-folding, just manual folding. They also look slightly different than the non folding mirrors. They have an extra accent line. Some have heat and dimming ability but you would have to modify the wiring to get those to work.

On another note....stop using the automatic car wash. Those things just destroy your paint finish. If you ever felt the automatic brushes after they are dry you would never use one again. They feel like sand paper and hold the dirt from the previous 3000 cars that went thru.
 
I was the first wash of the day once. Tore paint in 3 separate places. Now always use the self sprayer in winter with a lot of jackets and then un- freeze everything in the garage at home if stuff is frozen. Summer, hand wash is king!
 
Thanks guys, I usually don't go through the car wash to often its just been so cold this winter. My car had quite a few coats of wax on it anyways. I may try and search for some silver folding mirrors. They look much better than non folding.
 
Should the windows fold in/out automatically? My '03 window sticker lists "PWR FOLD/HTD MIRRORS" under standard equipment (exterior). The manual describes the power heating function, power adjust and memory, but only describes manual fold-away mirrors (page 99). I can find no buttons or options in the menus for automatic folding.
 
No such thing on any LS, they are manual folding by hand, from what I understood.
PWR alludes to the mirror glass heating & adjust. No power folding.
