Flash update TSB?

Anyone hear of this for a cold start rough idle/50 mph bucking problem? The dealer just called me saying the coils and injectors are fine and that a flash update will fix my driveability issues. I have an SCT X3 w/ a KBX tune but it's flashed back to stock for the trip to the stealer to keep them from blaming that.

The issue never turned up this morning w/ it flashed back to stock. It's going to cost me $120 including the diagnostic test but I don't want to waste that money. Anybody know what the flash addresses and if a fix to the tune in the Xcal3 could fix the same issue? I was SURE it was a failing coil! lol

If you have a new dealer up-date flash chances are the custom tune will not work and will need your custom tune re-adjusted to the new strategy code.

keep driving it and try to press it a bit harder with it at stock. I mean if its not happening with the stock tune than I would assume you could cancel that out not?


I think since the xcal is involved a talk with ILLS is best either way giving the statements you made about it not acting up at stock. Do you not have any other contact info since you got the tune from KBX?

Replied to your PM. I do come in here even after having sold the LS. Just this last few weeks has been much busier than normal for me so I haven't had allot of time to browse the forum as often as I would like.
