We got our first snow today and the LS did fine. I have to believe having the snow tires helped a lot. They just gripped right up, and ate up the snow. Been years since I have had a rear wheel drive vehicle. Forgot how fun it is. The 4x4 F150 has so much anti spin crap built in it takes the fun out of driving.:D

How much you guys get so far. I'm up in lasalle/peru. That is if your in Bloomington il. If not then nevermind haha

Man we get our first snow and people are having accidents everywhere. It's like they don't realize you have to be a little more careful with snow.

I saw 2 trucks flipped over in the ditch today and I just keep on driving.

The two occupants were out of the one. Straight up hillbillies. It was 20 out and they both had on tank tops. Lol. Theyll never have the swagg to pull off driving in an LS

Got a wee bit of snow here, waiting for the rest of the 4-6 inches the trustworthy folks at the Weather Channel predict us getting. It was foggy all day then the temps just plummeted so the roads were icy as all get out. No accidents and the LS help her own. Made sure to park her in the garage tonight as I don't want to have to be pushed down hill like the last time.

I am on the 3rd season on my cooper weathermaster snows, and it was not fun in southern nh. Could not accelerate at all, steering was totally crap. This is my tenth year driving the LS in the winter. I am on my 3rd set of snow tires in those 10 years. I am pretty scared for the rest of what the winter usually brings.

I finally broke down and put a set of snow tires on my LS as the last two years have been tough at times. I live on a decently steep hill, and a few times last year I could not get my car home. I put them on mid November to get ready for any snow that would start falling in December.

Yep, no snow since then in RI. I guess my snow tires are working really well, keeping all that snow away. RI can thank me later.

i have set of Blizzarks on 16 inch rims. I have a pretty flat path from home to work so no real issues. I have to get on it pretty good to make it cut loose. I have been shutting off traction control, when driving in snow. I have heard it is better to do that then have it engaged and wear on the brakes. Thoughts?

I just keep mine off so that the car will get some traction, otherwise it just limits the power so much I get no transaction at all.

Ok...so I was working tonight and we got a little bit of snow (maybe about an inch or so). Took the car out for a spin before any traffic hit the road. I can definitely say these are much better than the all seasons. Never lost traction, whereas with the all seasons, even slightly depressing the accelerator would cause wheel slipping.

I went to the college parking lot up from where I work, made it up the hill with no problems. Did some more aggressive acceleration and braking in the empty lot. Gotta say, I should have bought these years ago.

BTW...I'm running General Altimax Arctics on stock 16's

Yup, definitely happy with them. Granted, it wasn't a lot of snow, but they were champs compared to similar conditions last year. Can't wait to see how they do in more severe conditions.

I know what you mean, hopefully we dodge the bullet this year.

Wide tires like to act like skis

I've got a hill for a driveway, and if I don't blow it clean, the car stays at the bottom.

Wide tires and heavy car = Mr Toad's Wild Ride ;)
